Prairie Heritage Farm is a diversified, organic farm near Power, Montana, owned and operated by Jacob and Courtney Cowgill.

We grow

organic vegetables,
heritage turkeys,
ancient and heritage wheat, lentils and
a variety of seed crops.


We sell all our products
direct to customers (call for details!), but mostly through our three Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share programs.

Days Go By

Twisted carrot.
Broccoli.
Cauliflower.
The new Turkey Shack.
Turkeys hanging out in the living room.
Turkeys grazing.
Frost! August 16th!
Frozen tomatoes.
Frozen squash.
An unruly patch of lettuce for seed saving.
Lettuce flowering.
One of the most beautiful sights of the year: garlic curing.

  2. Oh, that garlic sure is a beautiful sight! And I had a big smile on my face when I saw that photo of the turkey's new digs. They look quite at home.
